Couples Counselling

Carefree

Couples come in all shapes and sizes; heterosexual, same-sex, arranged, polyamorous and so on....and I'm here to help you all. I've been helping couples for about 10 years and have also achieved a postgraduate qualification in Relationship Psychotherapy, so I can understand relationship dynamics in a more specialist capacity and on a deeper level.

Couples come for therapy for many reasons such as;

communication difficulties, a betrayal (sexual or financial for example), you're unhappy with how your partner makes you feel, you feel unheard or unseen, loss of sexual intimacy or there's a change in how you feel towards your partner or each other,  and so on.

How would I help you both?

 With your help, I will spend time understanding what the difficulties (or symptoms) are within your relationship - as well as the good things! I'll also strive to understand you both as separate beings within the relationship (they'll be opportunity for a separate session and later in our work if necessary), to understand your experiences in and out of the relationship, past and present. This is so we can shed light on how you've been impacted, making links to understand how these experiences impact you're thoughts, feelings and behaviours within the relationship. This way of working, is to unravel the issues from a deeper perspective, healing any past wounds if necessary to create an improved version of your relationship now and for your future.

I will help you make changes day to day in your relationship, by guiding you on what changes to make, setting homework and helping you both take some responsibility for creating change.

Fee for 1 hour appointment is £110
